Digido's Licence Was Revoked in 2026. Here's Exactly What Happened.

If you have a loan with Digido or UnaCash, or you were about to download either app, stop. In 2026 the Securities and Exchange Commission permanently revoked Digido Finance Corp.'s licence to operate as a financing company. UnaCash runs on the same corporate registration, so the same order covers it.

Here is what actually happened, in order, and what it means if you already owe them money.

Timeline

  1. 9 May 2025The SEC's Financing and Lending Companies Department first revokes Digido Finance Corp.'s certificate of incorporation and its authority to operate as a financing company.
  2. Through 2025Digido allegedly keeps lending anyway, and opens four branches in Cavite province without SEC approval.
  3. 18 Feb 2026Following an investigation, the SEC rules Digido administratively liable for violating the Financing Company Act (RA 8556) and its rules.
  4. 2 Mar 2026The SEC affirms the revocation, orders Digido to permanently stop lending, and fines the company and five of its officers ₱100,000 each, ₱600,000 in total.
Why UnaCash is affected too. UnaCash is not a separate company. It is another app operated by Digido Finance Corp. The SEC order that revoked Digido's authority to lend covers UnaCash by the same corporate registration.

How to check any lender yourself

Digido was SEC-registered for years before this happened. Registration alone was never proof it would stay legitimate. The number that actually matters day to day is the Certificate of Authority, and it's worth checking any app you're using or considering against the SEC's own published list.
