How a lender gets on this page

  • Loan apps hold a Certificate of Authority on the SEC register. A company registration alone does not allow lending.
  • Banks are supervised by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
  • We link only to the official website we verified, never to app stores, where copycats use the same names.
  • Rates, fees and limits come from each lender's own site, checked 17 September 2026. No lender pays to appear or to rank higher.

The legal ceiling on small loans

Since 1 April 2026, a loan of ₱10,000 or less repaid within four months cannot cost more than 12% effective interest a month. Where your amount and term fall under it, each quick loan is checked against it.

Names we checked and left off

  • Digido, UnaCash · SEC revoked the licence (affirmed 18 Feb 2026), ordered to stop lending, fined ₱600,000.
  • CashMart · SEC-registered, but no Certificate of Authority confirmed.
  • Finbro, Pera247 · SEC-registered, but we could not confirm their official website, so no link yet.
  • UnionBank, CIMB · BSP banks whose rate pages could not be read yet.

    Good to know

Why is the monthly payment not the whole story?

A small monthly payment stretched over more months can cost far more in total. Always read the total to repay next to it.

Banks quote a monthly add-on rate. It is charged on the full amount you borrowed for the whole term, even as you pay it down, which is why the effective rate on your Disclosure Statement is roughly double the add-on rate.

What fees show up besides interest?

Banks charge a processing fee of ₱1,500 to ₱2,000, and documentary stamp tax on loans above ₱250,000. Apps may charge a fixed issuance fee. Late charges and early-payoff charges apply at most lenders.

Any fixed fee a lender publishes is already in the figures above. Anything they do not publish is not.

How do I spot a fake lending app?

Match the company name and Certificate of Authority number in the app listing against the SEC register, not the app's own marketing. The SEC has warned about apps trading on Tala's name, including Tala-Cash Loan Philippines, Tala AISI-loan app quickly and Tala Shuk Lending Inc.

Walk away from any app asking for your contacts, photos or call logs. The National Privacy Commission bans that.

Does showing up here mean I am approved?

No. Each lender decides on its own. This page tells you who is licensed, what they publish, and what that would cost at your amount and term.
